My candy for today is the Dove Moments which I was given by a friend. Comes in a elegant box with a brown bow. Each piece has a thank you message under the foil.
History: Mars introduced the Dove brand of chocolates in 1991. The current packaging and format dates from 2008. These are based on the Dove Ice Cream Bar that was introduced in the 1950's by Leo Stefanos.(2)
Logo: Silky Smooth Milk and Dark Chocolate Promises.
Appearance: Each piece is foil wrapped with the dark chocolate in yellow foil and the milk chocolate in blue foil. Consistent color with each type without bloom.
Aroma: One smells of good dark chocolate the other like chocolate with a slightly off aroma.
Texture: Nice bite to each piece then the chocolate becomes smooth and creamy.
Flavor: Rich dark chocolate with a slightly bitter taste. The milk chocolate has a nice flavor at first but then has a slightly off milk taste to it.
Calories: 210 cal/Five pieces. 4.5 oz. Three servings per box
Rating: B+ and B-
Comments: I thought the dark chocolate pieces were very good not as crazy about the milk chocolate.
