DeMet's Turtles

Day 4.
Turtles are an excellent combination of pecans, milk chocolate and caramel. Caramel and chocolate are my favorite candy bar combination.

History: DeMet's was originally started in 1898 and Turtles were first sold as loose candy. Later Nestle purchased the rights to Turtles but recently DeMet's is making them again.

Appearance: Orderly cross section of chocolate and caramel layers. Three pieces are in the package. One more than than the 100 Grand. That extra piece really satisfies. Hmmm, isn't that another chocolate bar commercial. :)
Aroma: Pleasant chocolatey aroma.
Texture: Slightly waxy feeling to shell. Chewy and ribbons of caramel when bitten.
Flavor: Nice mixture of caramel and pecans. A slightly cocoa taste.
Calories: 260 cal/package. 1.76oz

Rating: A
Comments: Just like the Turtles of old. I remember eating boxes of these and Millionaires which were very similar. Excellent taste and three to eat!
